New song - Celebrate Life

Writer: Nicholas BridgmanNicholas Bridgman

This week I just wrote a new upbeat jazz/rock song, called “Celebrate Life.” The title reflects how the song is celebratory and happy, with an uptempo, rhythmic melody that makes people want to dance—kind of reminiscent of some joyful, pop-sounding David Benoit. I am enjoying adding lots of different instruments in Apple’s Logic, including some good strings, bass, and electric piano. The instruments included in Logic are fantastic, they are just good sounding, unlike the patches in other software I have used. To me, they are even better than Reason’s instruments, although I do continue to use Reason’s excellent Steinway piano patch for my piano parts.

Below is the sheet music for my song, which I wrote up in Finale’s Songwriter.
