I recently wrote this song using some modern jazz harmonies that evoke the depth and darkness one might find inside a natural enclosed area, such as a cave. This reminds me of some of the harmonies Gerald Clayton might use, or even Chick Corea. The solo section pares down the harmonies to make it more manageable to play, but still retains the dark, interesting mood.
