Sustainability

I value protecting the environment, ecosystems, and wildlife for the good of both human wellbeing and the planet.

My academic background gives me a unique perspective on how to approach sustainability, with a double-major in Ecology and Rhetoric at U.C. Berkeley, as well as an MBA and an MSBA at CSUCI. These hard STEM skills coupled with business communication skills position me to assist companies in developing ESG and sustainability policies that make an impact.

I am also interested in finding ways AI could assist in better understanding sustainability data, to shed light on issues such as climate change, deforestation, ESG compliance, and even inter-species communication.

My interest in nature has led me to work as an environmental consultant, advising businesses on regulatory compliance, as well as research conservation topics for an environmentally-focused nonprofit and a maritime museum.

I also researched the underwater communication of boto (Inia geoffrensis) and tucuxi (Sotalia fluviatilis) river dolphins on an expedition in the Peruvian Amazon, recording them using a hydrophone and performing statistical analysis of waveforms to create a dictionary of their vocalizations.

Most recently in both my MBA and MSBA, I have chosen projects relating to the environment, such as creating presentations on impact investing and the Pollution Haven Hypothesis, and designing a SQL database for queries on campus-related environmental policy at CSUCI.
